Being a photographer is something that I've wanted to be since I was in high school. My dad gave me a little intro camera and it went with me everywhere. When I moved to Europe I brought it with me to document all my special travels. I began photographing people and soon after was obsessed with weddings.
Years ago I was also given a box of old family photos dating back to the 1800's. It told the story of my family and I was obsessed with looking through all the old photos. It tells the story of my family and I hope to give others that same gift, tangible memories to pass down from generation to generation. Moments are fleeting, and I want you to enjoy them, soak them in and remember them forever in a tangible way.

In an old chest that my dad and I fixed up together, I have a box of old family photographs dating back to the 1800's. These photographs are a prized possession of mine. I feel closer to my late grandmother, and I get to learn more about her and our family history. Our story is told through photographs, and with my camera I can help others tell their family stories.
When we work together I'll help you feel comfortable in front of my camera by getting to know you ahead of time, guiding you through the session and stepping back to give you space to allow you to enjoy the moments that are happening.

Jane Austen is one of my favorite authors. I've read all of her works, except one, and I always feel so inspired from her. Period pieces, the style and the language are so romantic and beautiful to me. Like Jane Austen's pen, my camera allows me to tell the story of lovers.
I'm an introvert at heart, but I love to meet your guests at your wedding, hear their stories of how they know you, and document your loved ones. When you look back at your wedding gallery, you'll see friends, family and your love woven throughout it.
Rain, hail or shine, I won’t miss a beat
After choosing to work with me, I’ll get to work learning your story and the perfect way to tell it through images. After the contract and retainer fee is signed, I’ll send over a short questionnaire along with a welcome guide with helpful information to consider when planning your wedding day. After photographing almost 30 weddings and attending countless others, I know what works and what doesn’t. I’ll work closely with you to create a wedding timeline that flows smoothly so you can truly enjoy your wedding day.
I’ll arrive early enough to document you getting ready with your mother and close friends, popping champagne or just relaxing and listening to music! I’ll photograph your beautiful details, your dress and anything else you want me to photograph. You can think of me as a fly on the wall for all your special moments. When I’m quiet it means there’s a moment I don’t want to interfere with. To be honest, I’m not a “life of the party” type person. I’m a quieter person who seeks to be a calming presence for you as you have pre-wedding jitters.
During your day, I’ll do a mix of styled shots and candid shots in order to truthfully tell the story of your wedding day. Once I leave the wedding, I upload the images to a hard drive as a back-up and begin the editing process! I’ll send you previews within 48 hours so that you can share them with friends and family as you wait for the rest of the gallery to arrive within 4-6 hours!

These are a few of my favorite things...
I’m a sucker for a good Hallmark Christmas movie, crime shows and thrifting! I also love spending time in the mountains, going to new places with my family and taking my boys on fun excursions.
When I actually have time to read, I’m all about business books or novels by Jane Austen. I’ve read all of her works, except Northanger Abbey (for some reason I really can’t get into it). Art and creativity run in the family, my great grandfather was a German artist who made his way to the US. My grandmother was a painter and my mother did graphic design. You can say creativity is in my blood!
Not only that, but traveling is a passion of mine. Before having kids I lived in Europe for a year and traveled all over the place. I’ve gone to about 20 countries and would love to go back! If you want to have an amazing experience around the world, let me join you!
